Crude oil rises on decline in US crude supply

Crude oil futures closed higher in the domestic market on Wednesday following a surprise decline in weekly U.S. crude supplies and expectations that major oil producers will remain committed to curbing production.
Traders were also looking ahead to the outcome of the joint Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and non-OPEC ministerial monitoring committee meeting expected to be held later this week.
At the MCX, crude oil futures for April 2018 contract closed at Rs 4479 per barrel, up by 3.01 per cent, after opening at Rs 4365, against a previous close of Rs 4348. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 4493.
