Natural Gas logs slim gains on chilly weather

Natural Gas futures closed with slim gains in the domestic market on Wednesday as investors and speculators weighed a chilly end to the year 2014 in the US, which may boost demand for heating in the world’s biggest fuel consumer. WSI Corp predicted colder than normal weather in the Midwest, Great Lakes and mid-Atlantic regions from December 27 through December 31, 2014. At the MCX, Natural gas futures for December 2014 contract closed at Rs. 237 per mmBtu, up by 0.08 per cent, after opening at Rs 236.20, against the previous closing price of Rs 236.80. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 239.40.
