Copper dips on weak US factory data

Copper prices fell by 0.34 per cent on Wednesday at the domestic markets after US factory orders fell for the fifth consecutive month in December, dampening optimism over the strength of the economy.
US Census Bureau said factory orders declined by a seasonally adjusted 3.4 per cent in December, worse than expectations for a decline of 2.2 per cent.
At the MCX, copper futures for February 2015 contract were trading at Rs.351.90 per 1 kg, down by 0.34 per cent, after opening at Rs. 353.30 against the previous closing price of Rs. 353.10. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 351.85 till the trading. (At 11.49 AM today).
