Mentha oil rises on increase in demand

Mentha oil prices rose by 1.96 per cent on Thursday at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) as traders and speculators booked fresh position in the commodity. The sentiment weakened further due to tight stocks position in the physical market due to restricted arrivals from producing belts.
At MCX, Mentha oil futures for February 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs. 768.40 per kg, up by 1.94 per cent after opening at Rs. 754.90 against the previous closing price of Rs. 753.80. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 771.80 till the trading. (At 4.07 PM today).
