Natural Gas extends rally on weather outlook

Natural Gas futures closed higher in the domestic and overseas market on Wednesday as investors and speculators booked fresh positions in the energy commodity as a cold blast which was set to hit the northern and eastern US boosted hopes of a pickup in heating demand for the fuel.
NatGasWeather.com sees natural gas demand in the US to be high compared to normal through February 17th, 2015.
At the MCX, Natural Gas futures for February 2015 contract closed at Rs 179.3 per 1 kg, up by 1.76 per cent after opening at Rs 175, against the previous closing price of Rs 176.2. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 183.2 till the closing.
