Mentha oil futures weaken on bearish demand

Mentha oil prices fell by 1.47 per cent to Rs 972.60 per kg in futures trade as speculators indulged in reducing their positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand from consuming industries.
At MCX, Mentha oil futures for April 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs. 972.60 per kg, down by 1.47 per cent after opening at Rs. 987.60 against the previous closing price of Rs. 987.10. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 972.10 till the trading. (At 2.45 PM today).
Further, sufficient stocks in the physical markets on higher supplies from producing regions like Chandausi in Uttar Pradeshput pressure on prices.
