Coriander futures crawl up on tight supply

In the midst of a pick-up in domestic demand and tight supplies from producing regions, coriander prices rose 2.02 per cent to Rs 10,681 per quintal in futures trade today on the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX). At the NCDEX, coriander futures for May 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 10,681 per quintal, up by 2.02 per cent after opening at Rs. 10,635 against the previous closing price of Rs. 10,470. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 10,800 till the trading. (At 11.36 AM today). Coriander is common in South Asian, Middle Eastern, Central Asian, Mediterranean, Indian, Tex-Mex, Latin American, Portuguese, Chinese, African, and Scandinavian cuisine.
