Aluminium futures up on spot demand

Aluminium futures were trading higher during the late morning trade in the domestic market on Wednesday as speculators widened their bets amid a surge in physical demand for aluminium in the domestic spot market.
At the MCX, aluminium futures for August 2016 contract is trading at Rs 108.70 per kg, up by 0.23 per cent, after opening at Rs 108.60, against a previous close of Rs 108.45. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 108.80 (at 14:12 hours).
