Crude oil up as investors look ahead to OPEC meet
27/11/2017 07:34
Crude oil futures closed higher in the domestic market on Friday as investors focused on a disruption to a major crude-oil hub in Oklahoma and looked ahead to a key OPEC meeting next week. Crude prices have been on the rise as inventory data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration showed crude stockpiles fell by 1.9 million barrels last week, a sign that the rebalancing in the oil market is having an impact on U.S. storage, even though the decline was less than some expected. At the MCX, crude oil futures for December 2017 contract closed at Rs 3806 per barrel, up by 0.21 per cent, after opening at Rs 3789, against a previous close of Rs 3798. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 3814.
