Copper futures dip on subdued demand

Copper futures were trading lower in the domestic market on Wednesday as participants cut down their holdings amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
The fall in copper prices at the futures market was mostly attributed to tepid demand from consuming industries at domestic spot markets, according to marketmen.
At the MCX, copper futures for February 2018 contract was trading at Rs 434.40 per kg, down by 0.02 per cent, after opening at Rs 433.60, against a previous close of Rs 434.50. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 433 (at 12:45 hours).
