Gold futures go up on global pointers

Gold prices went up in the domestic market on Thursday as speculators built more bets.
Analysts said this is in line with a firm trend overseas, where gold hovered near a 2-week high amid a steady dollar and weaker stocks.
At the MCX, gold futures for February 2018 contract is trading at Rs 28515 per 10 grams, up by 0.08 per cent, after opening at Rs 28502, against a previous close of Rs 28493. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 28550 (at 12:53 hours).
