Zinc futures down 0.54% on profit-booking

Zinc futures were trading lower during the noon trade in the domestic market on Wednesday as speculators booked profits, driven by tepid demand in the spot markets.
Analysts said the weakness in zinc at futures trade was mostly attributed to profit-booking by participants amid subdued demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot markets.
At the MCX, zinc futures for January 2018 contract was trading at Rs 212.50 per kg, down by 0.54 per cent, after opening at Rs 213.20, against a previous close of Rs 213.65. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 212 (at 12:45 hours).
