Gold futures gain 0.22% on global cues

Gold prices moved up in futures trade today as speculators raised bets amid a firm trend overseas.
Analysts said widening of positions by participants amid a firming trend in the global markets as the dollar remained pressured amid fears of a global trade war following US President Donald Trump's decision to impose tariffs on imports of aluminum and steel, influenced gold prices at futures trade here.
At the MCX, gold futures for April 2018 contract ended at Rs 30514 per 10 grams, up by 0.22 per cent, after opening at Rs 30460 against a previous close of Rs 30448. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 30515 (at 12:35).
