Crude oil up on decline in US crude inventories

Crude oil futures closed higher in the domestic market on Thursday on a decline in US crude inventories and after sources signalled top exporter Saudi Arabia wants to see the crude price closer to US$100 a barrel. At the MCX, crude oil futures for April 2018 contract closed at Rs 4498 per barrel, up by 0.63 per cent, after opening at Rs 4490, against a previous close of Rs 4470. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 4578.
