Gold futures rise on firm global cues

Gold futures was trading higher in the domestic market on Monday as as participants created fresh positions, tracking a firm trend overseas.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders in line with a firm trend overseas influenced gold prices at the futures trade.
At the MCX, gold futures for June 2018 contract was trading at Rs 31191 per 10 grams, up by 0.23 per cent, after opening at Rs 31200 against a previous close of Rs 31118 It touched the intra-day high of Rs 31246 (at 15:33 hours).
