Crude oil rises as US announces exit from Iran deal

Crude oil futures closed higher in the domestic market on Wednesday buoyed by expectations that the U.S. decision to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal and reimpose sanctions will disrupt the flow of crude in the Middle East. Adding to bullish sentiment, a government report released Wednesday revealed the first decline in U.S. crude supplies in three weeks. At the MCX, crude oil futures for May 2018 contract closed at Rs 4793 per barrel, up by 3.68 per cent, after opening at Rs 4655, against a previous close of Rs 4623. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 4821.
