Gold flat as US dollar pares gains
23/05/2018 07:37
Gold futures closed flat in the domestic market on Tuesday as the U.S. dollar pared earlier gains on easing trade tensions between the U.S. and China. A strengthening dollar and rising rates can dull investment demand for bullion, which offers no yield. At the MCX, gold futures for June 2018 contract ended at Rs 31108 per 10 grams, down by 0.01 per cent, after opening at Rs 31,100 against a previous close of Rs 31,112. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 30,990.
