Gold future edge lower ahead of US job data

Gold prices were trading flat with slightly negative bias on Friday as participants refrained from creating fresh positions, tracking a mixed trend overseas.
Analysts said investors remained focused to the US jobs data due today, while they also kept an eye on trade talk between US and China as the world's two largest economies began trade talks in Beijing.
At the MCX, gold futures for June 2018 contract was trading at Rs 31034 per 10 grams, up by 0.04 per cent, after opening at Rs 31020 against a previous close of Rs 31046. It touched the intra-day high and low of Rs 31058 and Rs 30990, respectively (at 15:15 hours).
