Crude oil dips as investors await US crude inventory data
29/08/2018 07:28
Crude oil futures closed lower in the domestic market on Tuesday as traders fretted over signs of receding output and braced for the latest weekly U.S. crude inventory data. A series of factors such as a weaker dollar, investor confidence on the U.S.-Mexico trade deal and concerns over supply disruptions coming into light again, appear to be supporting these levels right now, before markets turn their focus to the weekly US inventory reports. At the MCX, crude oil futures for September 2018 contract closed at Rs 4817 per barrel, down by 0.19 per cent, after opening at Rs 4831, against a previous close of Rs 4826. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 4796.
