Crude oil dips on US-China trade dispute
03/09/2018 00:11
Crude oil futures closed lower in the domestic market on Friday as the U.S.-China trade dispute fed worries about demand, but prices held on to a solid gain for the month, with U.S. sanctions on Iranian oil expected to lead to tighter global crude supplies. Crude moves this week have been mostly supported by potential disruptions to global crude supplies, including U.S. sanctions on Iran’s oil that take effect in early November. At the MCX, crude oil futures for September 2018 contract closed at Rs 4961 per barrel, down by 0.76 per cent, after opening at Rs 5009, against a previous close of Rs 4999. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 4945.
