Gold rises on strong global cues

Gold futures closed higher in the domestic market on Monday as speculators widened their positions due to positive cues from global markets. Analysts said raising of bets by participants, tracking a firm trend in global market, influenced gold prices at the futures trade. At the MCX, gold futures for October 2018 contract ended at Rs 30334 per 10 grams, up by 0.68 per cent, after opening at Rs 30,100 against a previous close of Rs 30,129. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 30,347.
