Crude oil futures up 0.24% on overseas cues

Crude oil futures were trading higher in the domestic market on Wednesday as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from global market. Analysts said speculators built fresh positions after oil prices rose overseas on expectations of a tighter market once US sanctions start targeting Iran's petroleum industry from next month, although a strong dollar and rising US crude supply curbed gains. At the MCX, crude oil futures for October 2018 contract was trading at Rs 5514.00 per barrel, up by 0.24 per cent, after opening at Rs 5537.00, against a previous close of Rs 5501.00. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 5537.00 (at 11:30 hrs). .
