Zinc futures down on weak demand

Zinc futures were trading lower during the noon trade in the domestic market on Tuesday due to offloading of positions by speculators amid subdued global trend.Traders said weakness in zinc prices in futures trade was mostly due to cutting down of bets by speculators in tandem in line with a weak trend at the spot market.
At the MCX, zinc futures for October 2019 contract is trading at Rs 185.80 per kg, down by 0.00 per cent, after opening at Rs 185.00, against a previous close of Rs 185.80. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 184.80 (at 12:43 hours).
