Declining demand outlook drags down Lead futures

Lead prices fell by 0.12 per cent on Tuesday at the domestic markets as a result of low demand for the commodity from battery-maker in the spot market in the midst of weak overseas trend. At the MCX, Lead futures, for the October 2014 contract, is trading at Rs 122.75 per kg, down by 0.12 per cent, after opening at Rs 122.85, against a previous close of Rs 122.90. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 121.60 till the trading. (At 3.53 PM today).
The London Metal Exchange (LME) lead stocks remained unchanged at 224700 metric tonnes as on October 21, 2014.

Lead prices fell by 0.16 per cent on Monday at the domestic markets as a result of low demand for the commodity from battery-maker in the spot market in the midst of weak overseas trend. At the MCX, Lead futures, for the October 2014 contract, is trading at Rs 124 per kg, down by 0.16 per cent, after opening at Rs 123.95, against a previous close of Rs 124.20. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 123.75 till the trading. (At 3.20 PM today).
However, losses were curbed due to the decline in the lead stockpiles at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on account of the strong demand for the commodity. LME lead stocks fell by 350 metric tonnes to 224700 metric tonnes as on October 20, 2014.

Lead prices rose by 0.51 per cent on Monday at the domestic markets as a result of high demand for the commodity from battery-maker in the spot market in the midst of strong overseas trend. At the MCX, Lead futures, for the October 2014 contract, is trading at Rs 127.15 per kg, up by 0.51 per cent, after opening at Rs 126.80, against a previous close of Rs 126.50. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 127.70 till the trading. (At 3.55 PM today).
However, gains were limited due to the surge in the lead stockpiles at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on account of the weak demand for the commodity. LME lead stocks rose by 700 metric tonnes to 225650 metric tonnes as on October 13, 2014.

At the MCX, Lead futures, for the September 2014 contract, is trading at Rs 126.20 per kg, down by 0.16 per cent, after opening at Rs 126.40, against a previous close of Rs 126.40. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 125.95 till the trading. (At 3.35 PM today).
However, losses were curbed due to the decline in the lead stockpiles at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on account of the strong demand for the commodity. LME lead stocks fell by 25 metric tonnes to 225250 metric tonnes as on September 23, 2014

Lead prices fell by 0.08 per cent on Tuesday at the domestic markets as a result of low demand for the commodity from battery-maker in the spot market in the midst of weak overseas trend. At the MCX, Lead futures, for the September 2014 contract, is trading at Rs 128 per kg, down by 0.08 per cent, after opening at Rs 128.50, against a previous close of Rs 128.10. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 127.30 till the trading. (At 3.56 PM today).
However, losses were curbed due to the decline in the lead stockpiles at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on account of the strong demand for the commodity. LME lead stocks fell by 200 metric tonnes to 200 metric tonnes as on September 16, 2014.
