Copper dips on bearish German factory data

Copper prices fell by 0.33 per cent on Wednesday at the domestic markets after German factory orders fell unexpectedly last month signaling weak sentiment in the region which reduced the demand outlook for the metal. In a report, Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie said that German factory orders fell to a seasonally adjusted -0.9 per cent, from -2.6 per cent in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from -3.9 per cent. At the MCX, copper futures for April 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 379.35 per 1 kg, down by 0.33 per cent, after opening at Rs. 380 against the previous closing price of Rs. 380.60. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 378.50 till the trading. (At 12.00 PM today).
