Copper futures down on weak global cues

Copper futures were trading lower during the afternoon trade in the domestic market on Thursday as speculators reduced their bets amid sliding spot demand and a weak trend overseas.
Analysts said speculators reduced their positions in tandem with a weakening global trend mainly pulled down copper futures prices.
At the MCX, copper futures for November 2018 contract is trading at Rs 464.20per kg, down by 0.11 per cent, after opening at Rs 465.10, against a previous close of Rs 464.70. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 461.70 (at 15:55 hours).
