Crude oil futures rise on Asian cues

Crude oil futures closed higher in the domestic market on Monday as participants created fresh bets, tracking firm cues from Asian markets as escalating geopolitical tensions between Riyadh and West over the missing Saudi journalist, gave lift to crude oil prices in futures trade. At the MCX, crude oil futures for October 2018 contract closed at Rs 5273 per barrel, up 0.57 per cent, after opening at Rs 5290, against a previous close of Rs 5243. During the day’s trade, it touched an intra-day high of Rs 5334 and low of Rs 5232 respectively.
