Nickel dips 2.36% on weak global cues

Nickel futures were trading lower during the noon trade in the domestic market on Thursday as participants cut down bets.
Analysts attributed the fall in nickel futures to a weak trend overseas where prices fell over one per cent and muted demand from alloy-makers at the domestic spot markets.
At the MCX, nickel futures for October 2018 contract is trading at Rs 921.00 per kg, down by 2.36 per cent, after opening at Rs 940.00, against a previous close of Rs 943.30 . It touched the intra-day low of Rs 917.40 (at 15:45 hours).
