Silver futures drop 2% on profit booking

Silver futures closed lower in the domestic market on Monday as speculators lightened their positions at prevailing levels. The traders resorted to profit booking while weak cues from global peers also weighed on participants sentiment. At the MCX, silver futures for December 2018 contract closed at Rs 38490 per kg, down 2 per cent, after opening at Rs 39100 against a previous close of Rs 39274. It touched the intra-day high and low of Rs 39100 and Rs 38405 respectively.
