Spot demand, global cues lift copper futures 0.41%

Copper futures were trading higher during the noon trade in the domestic market on Wednesday as speculators raised their bets amid rising spot demand and a firm trend overseas.
Analysts said apart from rising demand from domestic consuming industries, firmness in the base metal at London Metal Exchange (LME), influenced copper futures here.
At the MCX, copper futures for November 2018 contract is trading at Rs 456.80 per kg, up by 0.41 per cent, after opening at Rs 458.40, against a previous close of Rs 454.95. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 459.30 (at 14:05 hours).
