Gold dips as global equity rebounded

Gold futures closed lower in the domestic market on Thursday taking cues from a rally in stocks that hinted that investors were wading deeper into assets perceived as risky after a period of turbulence in equities. The slippage for gold came as a line of data was released, with a focus on signs of rising inflation. At the MCX, gold futures for April 2018 contract ended at Rs 30608 per 10 grams, down by 0.05 per cent, after opening at Rs 30,641 against a previous close of Rs 30,624. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 30,531.
