Crude oil futures slide 1.25% on weak global cues

Crude oil futures was trading lower during the noon trade in the domestic market on Thursday as speculators trimmed positions amid weak global cues. Besides, profit-booking at current levels weighed on crude oil prices.
Analysts said trading sentiment weakened after participants took profits when oil prices fell in overseas market.
At the MCX, crude oil futures for October 2018 contract was trading at Rs 5386.0 per barrel, down by 1.25 per cent, after opening at Rs 5401.00, against a previous close of Rs 5454.00. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 5351.0 (at 12:55 hours).
