Crude oil up as Mexico output concern ease

Crude oil futures closed higher in the domestic market on Tuesday as a storm in the Gulf of Mexico looked set to miss the bulk of the region’s energy production platforms. But, a recent survey showing production among members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries at the highest level of the year so far limited gains for oil prices. At the MCX, crude oil futures for October 2018 contract closed at Rs 5009 per barrel, up by 0.14 per cent, after opening at Rs 4994, against a previous close of Rs 5002. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 5104.
