Gold futures closed lower in the domestic market on Tuesday due to a broadly stronger U.S. dollar. Also, a jump in the Institute for Supply Management’s U.S. manufacturing index to its highest level in more than decade further boosted the dollar. At the MCX, gold futures for October 2018 contract ended at Rs 30175 per 10 grams, down by 0.50 per cent, after opening at Rs 30,265 against a previous close of Rs 30,327. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 30,137.
